Donna Hatch’s passion for writing began at age 8 she wrote her first short story. During her sophomore year in high school, she wrote her first full-length novel. Her writing has won or been nominated as a finalist in many writing contests including Golden Quill and SARA’s Merrit. In between caring for six children, (7 counting her husband), her day job, and her many volunteer positions, she manages to carve out time to indulge in her writing obsession. A native of Arizona, she writes Regency Romance and Fantasy. And yes, all of her heroes are patterned after her husband of over 21 years, who continues to prove that there really is a happily ever after.
I also plan to attend a writer’s retreat where I do a lot of writing, plotting, brainstorming, and eat copious amounts of junk food with my awesome writer friends.

A Family reunion every year is hard with a big family. We try to get together though. I love Donna Hatch's books. They are amazing.
I have picked up Queen in Exile to take on my summer vacation next month–one of four books I am taking. I am looking forward to reading it.
My family does not really have reunions. It makes me sad. I think I have attended one reunion in the last ten years. Maybe someone who has more regular reunions would be willing to adopt me.
I just bought Queen in Exile through Brenda Novak's diabetes auction and can't wait for it to arrive!
We only do reunions when someone brave enough volunteers to spearhead them. Not often. At one years ago, I was looking around the pavilion of generations of MY descendants when someone approached my husband and told him he was obviously a cousin of his, because he looked just like the rest of the family- MY family.
These books look really exciting, I'll have to check them out the next time I am at the bookstore. I have never been to a large family reunion before. Hopefully we can start doing them in the future.
We always do a camping reunion.
One year a nephew brought a couch to camp and slept on it. A curious doe came around and sniffed him. He bolted up right and the deer nearly kicked him in the head before running off.
Queen in Exile looks SO GOOD! We always do a camping reunion with my hubbies side. It's fun, but I would rather stay in a hotel.:) My family usually goes somewhere in a hotel…;) We aren't the best campers…
Thanks everyone for stopping by. My husband's family is great about reunions, but mine only does them once in a while, usually when I organize it. (I'm the only girl) I'm with Chantele — I'd rather stay in a hotel than camp.
Family reunions are usually hit and miss with my family. Although we do tend to go with my aunts family camping in Island Park every July. I love it up there :)
When I was growing up we had a family reunion in Idaho, where my grandparents & most of my cousins lived.
Now they have mostly there own smaller reunions. My Parents, brother & sisters & kids abt. 3 times a yr. We also leave a little bit closer to each other.

What a fun idea! We already had our family reunion this year. My brother got married! So now I'll be home the rest of the summer until my nephew is born. So I'll spend lots of time reading. I love reading in the summertime! When the kids are down for quiet time, that's my quiet time too! I've been dying to read the Queen in Exile! I love Donna's books!
