This is going to be like picking my favorite child, but luckily, I read so many books this year that there was some that really stood out. I finished my 100 Books for 2010 Reading Challenge just today!

  1. I was good until #1, and that only because Mockingjay for me was such a disappointment.

  2. I know that many had a hard time with Mockingjay, but I thought it was amazing. I loved how every page was a surprise. Katniss is not perfect, and has faults, but I think that's what I liked most about her. And the Peetah surprise was very unexpected. Loved the ending. Real or not real :)

  3. I love you, but let's just agree to disagree! That book made me really dislike Katniss. There was not much character development, and the ease with which things were killed off or put to bed (the whole love triangle for example) after all the build up over the course of the series irritated me. And I know the premise of the story is not a happy one, but the violence in book 3 was over the top. It was written with the thought of "how do I make this one movie ready rather than character deep for my readers?" my two cents. :)
