12 days until summer!
Tristi Pinkston is the mother of four, author of six (soon to be seven) and the wife of one. She loves reading, watching good movies, and taking ridiculously long naps. She is a freelance editor, a virtual book tour coordinator, mentor, writing instructor, Cubmaster, and headless chicken.

LDSWBR: If you had an entire day to read (on the beach, at the lake, by the pool, etc.), what book(s) or genre would you reach for first?
TRISTI: Cozy mystery is my choice these days, but I also enjoy historical fiction and general fiction. I just love books, can I say?
LDSWBR: What book(s) do you look forward to reading the most this summer?
TRISTI: I look forward to the possibility of possibly, maybe, finding time to read anything at all, if I can fit it in. Life has been crazy lately, but books are necessary for survival!
LDSWBR: How would you describe the perfect summer day?
TRISTI: The perfect summer day is warm, but not too hot, and has a gentle cooling breeze blowing. My hair turned out really well, I’m dressed in cute clothes, and my perfectly behaved children are walking respectfully at my side, speaking kind words to each other. My handsome husband takes my hand and tells me I’m more beautiful today than on our wedding day, and someone drives up and hands us a million dollars. That would be a perfect day. Oh, and I’m skinny.
LDSWBR: Nice! Thanks, Tristi. Have a great summer!
Dearly Departed by Tristi Pinkston (Walnut Springs Press; January 2011) is available for purchase from Amazon.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Tristi totally got the perfect day.
And then we wake up! =D
I read a lot, but never as much as I’d like! Things like four kids, a work-at-home husband, a huge remodel project, housework, laundry, dinner, etc. always seem to get in the way! :-)
Love Tristi’s perfect day too! I’d take it even without the million dollars!
I have never read any of Tristi’s books because they do not carry them at my local library. I have only heard great reviews on her books.
Don’t we all dream of such perfect day as Tristi’s? But reality is as good as it gets, so enjoy it. Here’s hoping I win some great books this summer.
Tristi’s book are so good! Very funny, and clever.
Some months are certainly better than others. In April with school nearing a close, my daughter getting baptized my hubby graduating I think I read 1 book. But then in May I managed to squeeze in 17. It’s an ebb and flow and but I can definitely tell when I haven’t read for a while because I’m not as relaxed.
Tristi writes a great mystery and she’s super dooper funny. I can’t wait to read more of her stuff!
I always make time for reading because it also relaxes me and helps me to feel more like myself. I read in the evenings because my son goes to bed very early. Sometimes I don’t read as much because life gets crazy, usually it is work that gets in the way (even though I try not to bring it home).
Kids and housework keep me from reading as much as I’d like. How rude!! ;o)
