LDSWBR wants to give you a $100 Amazon gift card.

In honor of the recently announced 2010 Whitney Award finalists, LDS Women’s Book Review is sponsoring a “Read ’em All” 2010 Finalists Challenge for members of the Whitney Academy, as well as a Bonus Challenge for readers who are not part of the Whitney Academy but are still interested in reading all 2010 Whitney Award finalists.

In order to vote for Best Novel of the Year, Whitney Academy members must read all 35 finalists. That is no small task. LDSWBR is sponsoring the “Read ’em All” 2010 Finalists Challenge to encourage as many Whitney Academy members as possible to read all the finalists and vote for Best Novel of the Year.

To accept the “Read ’em All” 2010 Finalists Challenge, register on the LDS Women’s Book Review blog. We will then send you the code to add a challenge button to the sidebar of your blog or website. After reading all 35 finalists, return to the LDS Women’s Book Review blog, submit the “Read ’em All” 2010 Finalists Challenge completion form, and you’ll be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card. For those who are not members of the Whitney Academy, register for and complete the Bonus Challenge and you will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.

Are you up for the Challenge?

We know there are many who support the Whitney Awards program as much as we do. If you would like to help sponsor additional bookseller gift card prizes and be listed as a Challenge Sponsor, please contact us at ldswbr(at)gmail(dot)com. At this time we are unable to accept publishers or finalists as sponsors.

The Whitney Awards is a reader based genre fiction award committed to recognizing great fiction by LDS writers. The fourth annual Gala will be held Saturday, May 7th in Salt Lake City. There are thirty-five genre finalists for the 2010 awards, all of whom are eligible for the Best Novel of the Year and five of which are also eligible for Best Novel by New Author. Academy voting is open until April 20th. If you would like to join the academy, please go to www.whitneyawards.com and read up on the eligibility requirements in the voting section of the rules.

  1. I read them all last year, and I plan to do it again for the very reason of voting for Best Novel. If I can do it AND qualify for a prize–even BETTER!

  2. […] This post was mentioned on Twitter by DebbieCranberryfries, LDSW Book Review and Annette Lyon, LDSW Book Review. LDSW Book Review said: LDSWBR announces the "Read 'em All" 2010 Finalists Challenge- read Whitney Finalists & win a $100 Amazon grand prize! http://bit.ly/eSrKnu […]

  3. Oooh, I want to join the challenge! I’ve never yet succeeded in reading every single finalist, but this year I think I might be able to do it!

  4. Since we have a little longer time that usual, and since I’ve already read half the books I think I’ll give it a try. No promises, though since I’m still facing all 1,008 pages of The Way of Kings!

  5. How fun! I’ve read them every year and plan to do so again this year. :)
