LDSWBR: Do you top your Christmas tree with a star, angel, or something else? Does it have special meaning to you?
SARAH: We have a loverly, fancy-schmancy angel on top of our tree. It’s all gold (paint) leafed and heavenly host-ish. Special meaning? I bought it on sale at Walgreens years ago. Does that make it special?
LDSWBR: What is your favorite Christmas movie? Why is it your favorite?
SARAH: About 5 years ago my husband and I and our kids filmed a remake “A Christmas Story.” Our son looks *exactly* like Ralphie: big blue eyes, blond hair, glasses, cute little nose, earnest expressions. So we filmed our own version of the movie with him in the lead role. We hit all the highlights. Ralphie pleaded for the bb gun. The Old Man earned his “major award.” You name it, we did it. And it was AMAZING.
LDSWBR: What Christmas gift have you been most excited to give?
SARAH: This year our family gift to one another is a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ireland. I have roots in Ireland, a very Irish birthday, and a lifelong dream of going there. I have spent countless hours over my lifetime reading travel guides and watching PBS specials and looking at pictures of the Irish countryside, knowing in the back of my mind that it was nothing more than a dream. I always assumed it would never happen. So to actually be going is the most amazing Christmas gift I could imagine. I’ll probably be the crazy American crying at customs when they stamp my passport. “Nollaig Shona Duit!”

I already read this one- it was very different from the regular regency novels and I liked the ending a lot!
Nope, never received a trip for Christmas, although we have driven the 10 or so hours to Idaho to see family at Christmas. If I had to choose a place for Christmas, I’d say Maui!

I’ve never been given a trip for Christmas. I’d love to have a trip somewhere Tropical, close to the ocean,.My husband is just the opposite, he likes the cold. He would probably pick to go to Alaska.
I’ve never gotten a trip for Christmas, although I’m thinking we should give ourselves a trip for Christmas next year! Maybe Hawaii or England/Ireland/Scotland/Wales will be our destination!
I just finished this book a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Will be picking up another of Sarah’s books soon.
No Christmas trips for me, but going somewhere warm sounds appealing on this snowy day. :) I just read An Unlikely Match and REALLY enjoyed it.
The best Christmas trip I have ever taken was when my parents surprised my siblings and I with a unexpected trip to Disneyland!
We used our tax return to take our 3 youngest kids on a Mexican Riviera cruise in October. It was amazing and so hard to come home! We’re still playing catch-up from the cruise (my hubby doesn’t get vacation pay), so we told our kids that we don’t have as much to spend this year for Christmas. They are ok with it as we all had a great time! So I guess that you could call that our Christmas trip.

I have never received or done a Christmas trip before. But I plan to do one and surprise my husband with a dream trip once my youngest is a little more independent and easier to watch. He is a big soccer fan and would love to go to England and Spain to see some of his favorite teams.

Nope, never did! But I’d love to go to DisneyWorld with the kids. Someone can give me that for Christmas gladly. ;)
I’ve never been on a Christmas trip, which is good. I’m a homebody. Christmas vacation is my time to regenerate and be with family. I do a lot of writing then :)
I haven’t gotten a trip for Christmas, but wouldn’t ever complain if I did recieve one. :) Honestly, as long as the trip was out of state, I would be happy. Out of country would be better, but hey . . . beggers can’t be choosers. :)

I have not received a trip for Christmas (though I have gone on trips for Christmas), but I would love to go on a cruise and/or to Hawaii.
Never got a trip for Christmas but I could definitely use one this year if Santa is reading this! :)
I have never received a trip for a Christmas gift. One year it would be nice to receive one, but what would be even better is to receive a gift from a family member where they volunteer to watch all the kids so my husband and I can get away for a much needed trip.
I have it was to go to Disneyland. Santa had given us the tickets in our stockings we were so excited and couldn’t wait to go the next day!
Dang. Not yet. I would love a trip to anywhere warm with either my family or just a couple’s retreat with my hubby. That sounds so delightful.
