LDSWBR: Do you top your Christmas tree with a star, angel, or something else? Does it have special meaning to you?
ANNETTE: For years we had a goofy tree topper, but I always wanted a beautiful star. I searched for years looking for a good one, but all the stars I could find were ugly plastic things. Several years ago, my husband found a handmade brass star and gave it to me for my birthday (which is close to Christmas). We use it every year.
LDSWBR: What is your favorite Christmas movie? Why is it your favorite?
ANNETTE: I could list several–tough question! I’ll go with the one that’s the biggest tradition for us: White Christmas. We watch it every single year, and my kids look forward to it. They know that it isn’t Christmas without Bing Crosby.
LDSWBR: What Christmas gift have you been most excited to give?
ANNETTE: Probably the replica of Anduril, the sword of Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which I bought for my husband. He’s a tough person to buy a present for, but that year I knew I’d gotten exactly the right thing.
LDSWBR: Now that is an awesome gift. Thanks, Annette!

Purchase Paige:
AMAZON | KINDLE | NOOK | DESERET BOOK | SEAGULL BOOK | SMASHWORDS
After a bitter divorce from her unfaithful husband, Paige moves from Utah to California with her two little boys and vows to make a fresh start. She finds a job at a dental practice that helps her get back on her feet, but it’s the friends she makes at her new book club who help her realize how strong she is and who give her support to carry on as she faces the challenges of being a single mom. She also meets Derryl, a wonderful, kind, attentive man who treats her right, something her ex never did. Yet Paige struggles to figure out who she is as a woman rather than a wife, how to help her boys adjust to a broken home, and whether she can ever trust a man or love again. As Paige leans on the book club ladies and Derryl’s ever-present care, one thing becomes clear: healing from the past requires more than a change of address.
What replica from a book or movie would you like to own?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
There have been a few dresses that I’ve thought would be so fun to own (thought this again the other day while watching Mary Poppins with my kids-love that white and red dress Mary wears when they are in the chalk drawing).
Although I probably wouldn’t really wear it-out of style and all, but it was a pretty dress. ;)
A replica…hmmm…I agree with the dresses comment above.
I can’t think of any replica’s that I’d like to have right now! The dresses idea from above is as good as any I could think of!
A tough question. I can remember looking through the gift shop at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and thinking so many things there would be fun but I didn’t spend the money at those prices. I’m going to go back to clothing as mentioned above. How about Cinderella’s ball gown? But then, where would I wear it?
The first thing that came to mind after a few moments of thought (because I don’t think I’ve ever considered that before) was the pair of silver candlesticks from “Les Miserables” –the book, because if they were from the book, then they wouldn’t be so much a replica as actually silver and therefore valuable. ;-)
The leg lamp from A Christmas Story! Ha ha I’ve be awesome. The neighbors would love me.
I’d like that Cooool DeLorean Car from Back To The Future Movies, it was also a Time Machine !
I think I have the Best answer! Does that mean I Win the Car?? LOL
I’d like Bella’s old truck from Twilight! Either that or Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak. :o) Thanks!
Hmmm.. probably something from Star Wars — maybe R2D2? If it was a working model, he could help around the house!
I would love to have Belle’s library from Beauty and the Beast – filled with all of my favorite books!
Annette rocks. And so do her books.
As for a replica, I’d like Bilbo Baggin’s house–but the one they used for Bilbo and not for Gandalf to stand in. I wouldn’t want to have to stand bent over. lol I think it’d make for a lovely writing sanctuary.
I would love the replica of “Father of the Bride” movies house. I so could fit all of my children and it would be so awesome. Its so beautiful. Would I be so lucky to get that nope but I can dream right?
Everyone is so creative with their ideas! There is a series of books about quilting that my Mom passed down to me (Cross Country Quilters is the name of one I think) and they have an old house they converted to a bed and breakfast. I would love to stay there or any cool, historic house with fun rooms to explore.
I would love to have Dumbledore’s pensieve. What an incredible gift it would be!
Harry Potter: “What is it?”
Dumbledore: “This? It is called a Pensieve. I sometimes find, and I am sure you know the feeling, that I simply have too many thoughts and memories crammed into my mind.”
I would love to have a castle. Filled with maids who would do ALL the cleaning for me!
At this point, probably the leg lamp from “A Christmas Story.” It is such a perfectly tacky, garish item on so many levels.
All the awesome shoes, clothes, and accessories from The Devil Wears Prada! =)
You know all those YA novels with beautiful girls wearing the most gorgeous dresses on them? Yeah, I would love to have one of those (and their bodies so the dresses would fit :))
