LDSWBR: What book or movie reminds you of summer?

SARAH: “The Last Unicorn” reminds me of summer because we used to watch it everyday during the summer, then go outside and recruit the neighbor kids to act out all the scenes with us.

LDSWBR: Do you hike during the summer? If so, where is your favorite place to hike?

SARAH: I only hike when I’m forced to hike. I love being in the mountains, but it’s hard to enjoy the scenery when my legs are protesting every step. I have very whiny legs.

LDSWBR: What is the best book you’ve read so far this year?

SARAH: That’s a tough one. Either “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green or “Fangirl” by Rainbow Rowell.

LDSWBR: Thanks, Sarah!

PorcelainKeys

Aria’s life is full of secrets–secrets about her mother’s death, her father’s cruelty, and her dream to go to Juilliard. When Aria meets Thomas, he draws out her secrets, captures her heart, and gives her the courage to defy her father. But when tragedy strikes and Thomas disappears, Aria is left alone to transform her broken heart’s melody into something beautiful. Porcelain Keys is a captivating love story that will resonate long after the last page is turned.

Have you read the unabridged version of Les Miserables? What is the longest book you’ve read?

  1. What a beautiful cover!

  2. I have not yet read Les Miserables, but I did get through the unabridged version of The Count of Monte Cristo a few summers ago for book club.

  3. Wow thank you so much for letting me know about this book. I have not seen this one before and it looks really good. Like the comment just before me I have not read the unabridged version of Les Miserables but I have read the unabridged version of The Count of Monte Cristo.

  4. Flight Behavior was a 15 disc audio book.

  5. Les Miserables was the longest book I’ve read.

    I think it’s awesome that Sarah’s a cancer survivor.

  6. I haven’t ever read Les Miserables, not sure what the longer book was I’ve ever read, I’ve read way too many! :-)

  7. I haven’t, but I read The First Two Thousand Years by Skousen. Yeah. I know. :)

  8. I’ve heard that it is a fabulous book, but I have yet to read it. I think the longest book I’ve ever read was Holly Claus. It still is my favorite book!

  9. I think I read the abridged version of Les Miserables, but it has been so long since I read it, that I can’t really remember. But a few years back I read the unabridged “The Count of Monte Cristo” and that was pretty long.

  10. No, I haven’t read Les Mis. James Michener’s books are long and I can’t remember the longest one that I’ve read. Porcelain Keys is amazing. I love Sarah.

  11. I think one of the longest books I’ve read is Fire of the Covenant by Gerald Lund.

  12. I think I read the abridged version–it’s been a long time, though. I did read War and Peace–although I really don’t remember much about it.

  13. I have not read Les Miserables but I did read the unabridged version of The Count of Monte
    Cristo which I really enjoyed!

  14. I have not read Les Miserables, even though it is one of my Mom’s favorites and she says I need to read it someday. I do not remember exactly the longest book I’ve read, because I read so much, but IQ84 was pretty long and also a few biographies I’ve read were also long.

  15. Gone with the Wind was probably the longest book I read!
