Shanda’s Teaser:

Gathering up her quilt, she leaned forward to rise when a hand slipped firmly over her mouth, warning her, “Sshhhh.”

Her body went limp with fear before rebounding in a wild struggle against her assailant. She thrashed and kicked against the beast whose strong arms lifter her from her seat; suddenly hours of well-rehearsed defensive tactics dispelled the mind-weakening panic and she began to fight back with intent.

I knew it was not Marcus the mermaid wanted. If I jumped in, she would pull me down into the darkness instead of him. If I didn’t, Marcus would die in my place.

Shanda’s Teaser:

“When she finally reached Paris, Marie Jacobson did not discuss with her father her joy that Rolf Schulmann was alive. Miss Allred’s correspondence had rekindled the spark of hope that, even in the long absence of news from Hans, had always burned ever so subtly deep inside a heart that was trying to mend. It had confirmed her most sincere innermost hope that, Rolf would still be found alive.”
Tribunal by Sandra Grey, page 101 (still reading

Sheila’s Teaser:

“Imagine yourself savoring all types of food without any guilt, making a choice based on what you want, not what you should have and finally focusing on life, not food. If this sounds too good to be true, please trust me and continue reading.”
Love Your Body: A Diet-Free Approach to Balanced Eating By Brooke Parker, R.D., page 14

Hillary’s Teaser:

“David tried to open his eyes, but when he did, the room spun in circles around his head-or maybe his head was spinning in circles around the room; he wasn’t really sure.”

Sheila’s Teaser:
“Why are they doing this?” Henry asked, not fully understanding what he was seeing with his own eyes.

“They arrested more people last night. Japanese, all over the city…People are getting rid of anything that might connect them to the war with Japan. Letters from Nippon. Clothing. It must all go. Too dangerous to keep. Even old photos. people are burning photos of their parents, of their families.”
